The Rescue: CMC Students Save a Life
In a remarkable act of courage and quick thinking, first-year students at Ludhiana Christian Medical College saved the life of their classmate after a tragic accident. While celebrating together near the railway tracks, one student was electrocuted and left without a pulse or breath.
His classmates immediately responded, pulling him to safety and performing CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until signs of life returned. With the help of friends and good Samaritans, they rushed him through heavy traffic to CMC’s emergency department, where doctors and specialists continued advanced treatment.
Thanks to their training, teamwork, and calm under pressure, the student was stabilized and eventually recovered. The incident highlights not only the importance of emergency preparedness but also the compassion and commitment that CMC students carry with them from the very beginning of their medical journey.
