Class of 1975’s Ultrasound for Casualty Dept.

Three people in formal attire stand beside an ultrasound machine in a room. A poster with Hindi text and a womans image is visible on the wall behind them.

The batch of 1975 visited CMC Ludhiana and found that there was need for a new portable ultrasound machine in the Emergency Room. There were many donors for the project, some of whom live in India.

The cost of the machine was ~$19,000, including 5 years of maintenance. Class members that resided in the US sent ~$6,000 to LCMCB for the project, and the alumni in India raised the rest of the funds.

An ultrasound machine with a large monitor and multiple probes, wrapped in plastic, is positioned on a red-speckled floor in a room with light yellow walls. Framed photos hang on the wall in the background.
