The Health Science Block Exam Hall, located on the top floor of the Health Science Building, had no adequate cooling. This caused the temperature to rise to over 90 degrees during the hot season, when there are required exams for medical students. Students could not be expected to work to the best of their abilities under these adverse conditions.
The College of Medicine obtained ~$9,700 in funding, and the IOL Group also donated ~$41,600 towards installing an air conditioning system. LCMCB USA agreed to provide ~$36,500 from the Fellowship Fund to help cover the remaining costs.
