Description of CBCT scanner:

The College of Dentistry raised funds to purchase a CBCT X-ray machine, as it has become an essential diagnostic tool.  They had been forced to refer 2-5 patients daily outside for this diagnostic process. CBCT radiographs gives a multi-angle view of the area where as routine X rays gives only a two dimensional view.  They negotiated a good deal in exchange of the old x-ray machine with a CBCT machine, and the cost of the machine after exchange is ₹ 28,00,000 (US$ 34,130). The institution made a purchase order by paying an advance of ₹ 100,000 (US$ 1219). The dental alumni and Friends of Ludhiana UK raised £21000(US$ 26467). The US Board was able to support the purchase with the $6,500 remaining.
