- The College of Nursing grounds, hostel and administrative areas have been in urgent need of upkeep and repairs for several years;
- The hospital (CMCHL) itself and the College have no designated budget for repair and upkeep of the building and grounds; and
- The Board (LCMCB) raised funds specifically for the College of Nursing to make the needed repairs in 2021 and there are still $7,000 remaining of what was raised.
- The Nursing College shall develop a plan to fund the yearly maintenance of the buildings and grounds. The mechanism of this plan will be left to the College, either by an additional fee added to student fees or through other fund raising. The LCMC Board would like to see this plan within the next 4 months and it must be a part of the yearly budget for repairs, upkeep and renovation. This will be taken into consideration when future funding requests are evaluated.
