CMCL treats many patients who are indigent and need financial support to pay for their prescribed treatment. In 2019, reports from the Malwa region of the Punjab stated that the incidence of cancer was unusually high due to the use of pesticides and chemicals in the cotton growing industry. Unfortunately, the costs for cancer treatment are higher than families who are subsistence farmers and day laborers can afford.  Some sell their only possessions and land in order to pay for treatment.

CMCL USA agreed to send $10,000 on a yearly basis to help provide financial assistance to cancer patients who cannot afford treatment. This equates to nearly 1 million rupees, ensuring that many patients can receive assistance and get the treatment they need.
